Missions
Joe and Karen Leier, who have been in Guatemala since 2002, have
launched a brand new mission by the name of Freelance Missions. After repeatedly seeing
the need for technical expertise and hands on help, of the missionaries here in Guatemala
and of the Guatemalans themselves, they have formed a mission to help in the "rubber
meets the road" needs of electrical, computer support, satellite installation,
construction, generator (power plant) repair and numerous other areas that seem to be
apparent in a country where they are striving to catch up with other industrialized
countries.
So many missionaries are dependent on the internet for informing their supporters or
keeping in contact with other people in their mission who are in remote areas of the
country. This "enabling missionaries to fulfill the great commission" is a fairly
uncommon ministry but Joe and Karen have found it is a much needed one.

Tribe of Zion
Our Mandate
"The people who know God will be strong and do great exploits." Daniel 11:32b
In other words:
We want to be known as friends of Jesus who make our whole lives an act of worship and
obedience to Him. As we do this, we know our lives will be transformed so that we become
more and more like Him; set apart and holy. As the King lives inside of us, we too will
walk in the power and authority we need to impact the earth.
What does that look like?
Currently Tribe of Zion runs Sunday mornings following worship and is for children ages
3 and up. We believe that families need to worship together as the children are an
integral part of the body of Christ. There are special times we will do a full service
with the children, but normally we take our place alongside the adults. Children are
free to dance, sing, and draw as they respond to our King.
When we go downstairs the children enter a safe environment where they will learn through
large and small group teaching encompassing a variety of teaching tools to learn scripture,
practical applications of God's word, how to hear from God, and ways to build their faith
and understanding.
We do not believe that there is a junior and senior Holy Spirit. We believe that when God
moves, it is upon all flesh – including the young. For this reason you will not find much
difference in what is being taught to the adults versus the children – other than the way
we cut it up and serve it. We believe children can hear from the Lord. We believe children
can move in gifts of the Spirit and in intercession. We believe children can learn to
"give a reason for the hope they profess" and have a strong foundation in why they believe
what they believe.
Tribe of Zion follows the "Plan to Protect" model for security. All of our workers have had
criminal record checks and a strong ratio also have first aid training.
Children are served a nut-free snack during their time with us, and we ask that parents of
children younger than 10 come to pick their children up after service.
From time to time the children remain upstairs in order to take part in a service with a
special speaker, or another activity with the body. (communion, baptisms, etc.)
Lighthouse to all Nations Church also runs a Friday night program called, "Family Equipping
Night." After worship, the children enjoy an interactive program geared for ages 4-12, and
then regroup with the adults for a snack and fellowship time. Family Equipping begins most
Friday nights at 7:00 p.m. and the formal program ends at 9:00.
Tribe of Zion is a wonderful family of children and leaders who are passionate about seeing
God's best for them. We would love for you to stop by and visit.
Elijah House

Elijah House prayer ministry, administered at Lighthouse to All Nations Church by
Dorothy Cooke, was founded through the pioneering work of John and Paula Sandford.
It is primarily pastoral in nature, based on scriptural principles and led by the Holy Spirit.
The Elijah House course utilizes biblically based principals to deal with root issues, rather
than dealing with the symptoms that often mask deeper, foundational problems.
The Elijah House course allows God to touch the heart issues of people’s lives, so that they can
be as healthy as possible in all areas of their spirit, soul and body. Over time when
emotional and spiritual garbage is not dealt with, it begins to affect people, like pollution
effecting the environment. If it is ignored, it continues to pollute the environment and the
generations to come.
Personal healing, as well as learning to minister to others, is incorporated into the Elijah
House course. The teaching is done by the Elijah House staff in a DVD format. Each day consists
of DVD’s and a small group ministry time. Small groups remain the same through out the entire
course. The small group format distinguishes the Elijah House course from any other, as it
applies the teaching knowledge during their small group ministry time, immediately after the
DVD’s for that day. There are 24 teaching DVD’s in total. One of the comments consistently
indicated about the Elijah House course by its participants, is that it goes deeper than any of
the other courses out there, with lasting results.
